Regular Season Round 13: Aishin SH - Panasonic T. 72-82

The most crucial game of the last round was a loss of top-ranked Aishin Sea Horses (21-5) in Kariya on Sunday night. Hosts were defeated by third ranked Panasonic Trians (15-11) 82-72. The game was mostly controlled by Panasonic Trians. Aishin Sea Horses managed to win third quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Hiroyuki Kinoshita (178-80) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 8 rebounds and 6 assists. The former international guard Kenta Hirose (193-85) contributed with a double-double by scoring 16 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals for the winners. The former international power forward J.R. Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) answered with a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and the former international point guard Shinsuke Kashiwagi (183-81) added 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in the effort for Aishin Sea Horses. Four Panasonic Trians and five Aishin Sea Horses players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Panasonic Trians maintains third place with 15-11 record having six points less than leader Aishin SH, which they share with Hitachi SR. Aishin Sea Horses at the other side still keep top position with five games lost. Panasonic Trians is looking forward to face Tochigi Brex (#6) at home in the next round. Aishin Sea Horses will play against Mitsubishi Dolphins (#7) in Nagoya and are hoping to win this game.
