There was a small surprise when sixth ranked Kyoto Hannar. (15-13) defeated on the road 4th ranked Fukuoka Rizing (17-11) 96-81 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Kyoto Hannar.. Fukuoka Rizing was better in fourth quarter 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Fukuoka Rizing was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for American center Marcus Cousin (211-86, college: Houston) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 25 points and 11 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). American-Panamanian forward Leonardo Pomare (203-86, college: San Diego, agency: Top Notch Sports) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points and 16 rebounds for the winners. Five Kyoto Hannar. players scored in double figures. American forward Reginald Warren (204-81, college: W.Florida, agency: Top Notch Sports) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and his fellow American import forward Josh Peppers (201-85, college: Cent.Florida, agency: Court Side) added 9 points and 10 rebounds in the effort for Fukuoka Rizing. Kyoto Hannar. maintains sixth position with 15-13 record. Loser Fukuoka Rizing keeps the fourth place with 11 games lost.
