Regular Season Round 16: Sydney UF - Bulleen B. 82-68

Date: January 27, 2013
An interesting game where host Sydney Uni Flames (#8) won against 5th ranked Bulleen Boomers 82-68 on Sunday evening. The game without a history. Sydney Uni Flames led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international forward Rohanee Cox (182-80) who helped to win the game recording 22 points (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) and American swingman April Sykes (182-90, college: Rutgers, agency: Two Points) who added 13 points and 7 rebounds during the contest. Four Sydney Uni Flames players scored in double figures. At the losing side international Rachel Jarry (185-91) responded with 23 points and 8 rebounds (made all of her eleven free throws !!!) and the former international swingman Tess Madgen (180-90) scored 13 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Sydney Uni Flames (6-14) moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Canberra C. Loser Bulleen Boomers dropped to the sixth position with 13 games lost. Sydney Uni Flames will meet at home higher ranked Townsville Fire (#4) in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Bulleen Boomers will play against Logan Thunder in Loganholme and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
