The game between Top Four teams took place in Uberlandia. 3rd placed host Uberlandia (13-5) lost to leader Flamengo (19-0) 87-78. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning the initial quarter 23-18. But Uberlandia won second period 22-21. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for the former international forward Marquinhos Vieira (207-84) who led his team to a victory scoring 23 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Flamengo have an impressive series of nineteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 19-0 record. Uberlandia at the other side keeps the third position with five games lost. Flamengo are looking forward to face Minas (#10) in Belo Horizonte in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Uberlandia will play on the road against the league's second-placed Brasilia (#2) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
