Regular Season Round 17: ASVEL - Nanterre 87-84

A very close game took place in Villeurbanne between ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket and JSF Nanterre. Sixth ranked ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (10-7) got a very close home victory over 11th ranked JSF Nanterre (7-10). American forward Chris Oliver (198-85, college: Radford) produced 18 points and 9 rebounds and the other American import swingman David Lighty (195-88, college: Ohio St.) added 22 points respectively for the guests. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Paris-Levallois. Loser JSF Nanterre keeps the eleventh position with ten games lost. They share it with Limoges and Nancy. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket will meet JDA Dijon (#9) on the road in the next round. JSF Nanterre will play against Cholet and hope to secure a win.
