No shocking result in a game when third ranked Maccabi Ramat Hen (7-7) beat at home 7th ranked Galil Elion (5-9) 71-57 on Monday. The game without a history. Maccabi Ramat Hen led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American players dominated also this game. The winners were led by center Jenna Smith (191-88, college: Illinois) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds and swingman Karima Christmas (182-89, college: Duke) supported her with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Even a double-double of 17 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks by forward Christine Flores (190-90, college: Missouri, agency: Ronsport) did not help to save the game for Galil Elion. point guard Sydney Carter (167-90, college: Texas A&M, agency: Ronsport) added 13 points and 6 rebounds for lost side. Galil Elion's coach rotated ten players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Maccabi Ramat Hen maintains third position with 7-7 record having nine points less than leader Maccabi Ashdod. Galil Elion lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh place with nine games lost. They share the position with H.R. Le-Zion. Maccabi Ramat Hen will meet Hap.Petah Tikva (#5) on the road in the next round. Galil Elion will play against Hapoel Rishon Le-Zion and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
