CBA top team - Guandong Tigers (24-3) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed fourteenth ranked Jilin Tigers (10-18) in Dongguan 141-99. The game without a history. Guandong Tigers led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 100 of its points in the paint compared to Jilin Tigers' 62. They outrebounded Jilin Tigers 54-23 including a 42-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Guandong Tigers players were unselfish on offense dishing 27 assists comparing to just 14 passes made by Jilin Tigers' players. The best player for the winners was international Jianlian Yi (212-87) who scored 23 points and 5 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line). American swingman Terrence Williams (198-87, college: Louisville) chipped in 20 points and 4 assists. Guandong Tigers' coach ChunJiang Li felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. American guard Dewarick Spencer (193-82, college: Arkansas St., agency: Higher Vision Sports) produced 35 points (!!!) and 6 rebounds and forward Wei Liu (205-85) added 22 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Guandong Tigers have an impressive series of fourteen victories in a row. They maintain first place with 24-3 record. Jilin Tigers at the other side keep the fourteenth position with 18 games lost. Guandong Tigers' next round opponent will be Liaoning Hunters (#4) in Yingkou. Jilin Tigers will play at home against Fujian (#15) in Jinjiang and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
