There was a surprise result when thirteenth ranked Virtus Cagliari (4-14) rolled over on the road higher ranked San Salvatore (7-11) 68-48 on Wednesday. The guests trailed by 9 points at the halftime before their 44-15 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Virtus Cagliari dominated on the defensive end, holding San Salvatore to just 7 points in fourth quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to San Salvatore's 20. Virtus Cagliari forced 24 San Salvatore turnovers.
