Regular Season Round 29: Zhejiang CB - Beijing Ducks 109-104

Very important is a road loss of third ranked Beijing Ducks (18-9) against ninth ranked Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (14-13) on Wednesday night. Visiting Beijing Ducks were defeated by Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank in a tough game in Hangzhou 104-109. Beijing Ducks were ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 67-58 second half run of Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank. Beijing Ducks were plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated the game. Power forward Eddy Curry (211-82) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 17 rebounds for the winners and guard Quincy Douby (191-84, college: Rutgers) chipped in 33 points (!!!). Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank's coach XueZeng Yang allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Stephon Marbury (188-77, college: Georgia Tech) responded with 34 points (!!!), 8 rebounds and 6 assists and power forward Randolph Morris (211-86, college: Kentucky) scored 23 points and 8 rebounds. Four Beijing Ducks players scored in double figures. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank moved-up to eighth place. Beijing Ducks at the other side keep the third position with nine games lost. Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank will play against TianJin Steel (#13) in Tianjin in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Beijing Ducks will play at home against DongGuan Leopards (#6) and hope to get back on the winning track.
