The most exciting game was a derby match between two local teams from Minsk: Tsmoki-Minsk (#2) and Gorizont (#3). Gorizont was defeated at home 60-68 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. Tsmoki-Minsk made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. International power forward Volha Istseliatsova (189-88) stepped up and scored 21 points and 7 rebounds for the winners and the former international forward Viktoryia Pantsiukh (185-87) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. At the losing side international guard Natalia Anufryienka (174-85, agency: LBM Management) responded with 18 points and 5 rebounds and Russian-Ukrainian center Aleksandra Khomenchuk (202-89) scored 11 points and 9 rebounds. Gorizont's coach Anatoly Buyalskiy rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Tsmoki-Minsk have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain second place with 11-2 record behind leader Olimpia. Gorizont lost third consecutive game. Defending champion keeps the third position with five games lost. Tsmoki-Minsk are looking forward to face Sozh Gomel (#4) at home in the next round. Gorizont will play against the league's leader Olimpia GrGAU in Grodno and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
