Another exciting game was played in Reykjavik between sixth ranked Keflavik and 5th ranked KR where Keflavik (9-5) beat KR (8-6) on the road with 15-point difference 100-85. It looked good early as KR took an 11-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Keflavik took control and eventually winning the game that evening by 15 points. They dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to KR's 40 and made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. They outrebounded KR 46-31 including a 19-8 advantage in offensive rebounds. Keflavik brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. KR was plagued by 24 personal fouls down the stretch. American forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points, 13 rebounds and 4 blocks. The former international guard Darrel Lewis (192-76, college: Lincoln, MO, agency: Two Points) contributed with 30 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 11-for-11 from the free throw line !!!) for the winners. American forward Darshawn McClellan (200-89, college: La-Lafayette) replied with 21 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and the former international guard Brynjar Bjornsson (191-88, college: Francis Marion) added 12 points and 7 assists in the effort for KR. Four Keflavik and five KR players scored in double figures. Keflavik have a solid four-game winning streak. They moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Stjarnan. KR lost third consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth position with six games lost. Keflavik will play against KFI (#9) in the next round where they are favorite. KR will play against Snaefell in Stykkisholmur and hopes to get back on the winning track.
