Rather expected game when 7th ranked Varsity Reds (4-10) were edged by fifth ranked Tigers (7-8) in Fredericton, NB 76-73 on Friday. The guests trailed by 6 points after three quarters before their 25-16 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Tigers made 24-of-31 free shots (77.4 percent) during the game. It was a very good performance for guard Jumol Mullings (185) who helped to win the game recording 15 points. Cameroonian forward William Yengue (193) contributed with 8 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Tigers' coach John Campbell used entire bench in such tough game. Guard William Mc Fee (190) replied with 21 points and guard Daniel Quirion (183) added 15 points in the effort for Varsity Reds. Four Varsity Reds players scored in double figures. Tigers moved-up to fourth place. Varsity Reds lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with ten games lost. Tigers will have a break next round. Varsity Reds will play on the road against Huskies in Halifax, NS.
