Second ranked Shandong Bulls (21-7) crushed at home 12th ranked Jiangsu Dragons (11-17) by 50 points 130-80, which is the biggest margin this round. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Jiangsu Dragons. The game was mostly controlled by Shandong Bulls. Jiangsu Dragons was better in fourth quarter 22-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Shandong Bulls dominated down low during the game scoring 88 of its points in the paint compared to Jiangsu Dragons' 30. Shandong Bulls forced 23 Jiangsu Dragons turnovers and outrebounded them 43-30 including a 34-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Shandong Bulls especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 52.4 percentage. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 28 assists comparing to just 11 passes made by Jiangsu Dragons' players. American power forward Jackson Vroman (208-81, college: Iowa St.) notched a triple-double by scoring 19 points, 11 rebounds, 12 assists and 5 steals (on 9-of-11 shooting from the field) to lead the effort and Jordanian forward Zaid Abbas (203-83) supported him with 25 points and 8 rebounds (perfect from the field making all ten shots !!!). Five Shandong Bulls players scored in double figures. Even 21 points and 9 rebounds by American forward Mike Harris (198-83, college: Rice) did not help to save the game for Jiangsu Dragons. International Li Yi (203-85) added 13 points. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Shandong Bulls have an impressive 13-game winning streak. They maintain second position with 21-7 record having four points less than leader Guangdong ST. Jiangsu Dragons at the other side keep the twelfth place with 17 games lost. Shandong Bulls will play against Zhejiang Chouzhou Bank (#6) in Hangzhou in the next round. Jiangsu Dragons will play at home against Qingdao Eagles (#16) and hope to get back on the winning track.
