Not a big story in a game when 9th ranked Notec (4-9) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Ksiezak Lowicz (8-5) 89-79 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Ksiezak Lowicz. Notec was better in second period 27-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Ksiezak Lowicz outrebounded Notec 39-22 including a 32-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 27 assists comparing to just 13 passes made by Notec's players. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Przemyslaw Malona (198-85) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 14 rebounds (on 9-of-10 shooting from the field) and guard Bartosz Wluczynski (176-88) who added 20 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists (made all of his eight free throws) during the contest. At the losing side forward Mikolaj Grod (194-89) responded with 23 points and center Wojciech Pagacz (203-89) scored 15 points. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Ksiezak Lowicz moved-up to third place in Group A. Newly promoted Notec keeps the ninth position with nine games lost. Ksiezak Lowicz will face Trefl II Sopot (#4) on the road in the next round. Notec will play against Suchy Las (#10) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
