Regular Season Round 16: Wilki Morskie - SMS PZKosz 78-76

The most exciting game of round 16 in the 2Liga took place in Szczecin. This derby game ended with only two-point defeat on the road of their biggest opponent SMS PZKosz (9-4) to first ranked Wilki Morskie (12-1) 78-76 in the game for the first place. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of SMS PZKosz. The hosts trailed by 2 points after three quarters before their 18-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Wilki Morskie forced 20 SMS PZKosz turnovers. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Radoslaw Bojko (196-91) who helped to win the game recording 13 points, 5 assists and 4 steals and guard Piotr Pluta (192-81, agency: Court Side) who added 16 points during the contest. At the losing side power forward Mikolaj Witlinski (207-95) responded with 24 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks and Jakub Garbacz (196-94) scored 14 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Wilki Morskie have an impressive 12-game winning streak. They maintain first position in Group A with 12-1 record. SMS PZKosz at the other side keeps the second place with four games lost. Wilki Morskie are looking forward to face MKS Skierniew. (#6) in Skierniewice in the next round where they are favorite. SMS PZKosz will play at home against GTK Gdynia (#8) and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
