Another exciting game was again a derby between two teams from Waterloo, ON: Golden Hawks (#6) and Warriors (#7). Golden Hawks (5-12) won against visiting Warriors (3-14) 84-75. Guard Maxwell Allin (193) orchestrated the victory by scoring 23 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Guard William Coulthard (188) contributed with 34 points (!!!) for the winners. Golden Hawks' coach Peter Campbell used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Gill Jaspreet answered with 22 points and 8 rebounds and Denham Buchanan added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Warriors. Golden Hawks moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Guelph. Warriors lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 14 games lost. Golden Hawks' next round opponent will be higher ranked Badgers (#4) in St.Catharines, ON and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Warriors will play at home against Mustangs in London, ON and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
