Ethias League top team - Base Oostende (11-4) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed eighth ranked VOO Verviers-Pepinster (3-11) 99-71. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 55-26 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Base Oostende made 27-of-30 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. Base Oostende outrebounded VOO Verviers-Pepinster 36-24 including a 27-13 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a quality performance for American Wesley Wilkinson (207-84, college: Nebraska) who led the winners and scored 20 points and 7 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). Serbian-Montenegrin guard Dusan Djordjevic (195-83, agency: Beo Basket) accounted for 18 points for the winning side.
