Regular Season Round 18: Dijon - ASVEL 63-60

Date: February 2, 2013
A very interesting game took place in JDA Dijon. It ended with only three-point defeat on the road of higher ranked ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket (10-8) to ninth ranked JDA Dijon (9-9) 63-60 on Saturday evening. The hosts were already 21 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 26-8 ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket's run in the last quarter cut the lead to 63-60 at the end of the game. Forward Jeremy Leloup (202-87) notched 14 points, 7 assists and 4 steals to lead the effort and American point guard T.J. Campbell (175-88, college: Portland) supported him with 12 points and 4 assists. Four JDA Dijon players scored in double figures. JDA Dijon's coach Jean-Louis Borg used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 11 points and 8 rebounds by naturalized Mali forward Amara Sy (202-81) did not help to save the game for ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket. Nigerian power forward Uche Nsonwu-Amadi (208-78, college: Wyoming, agency: Beo Basket) added 13 points and 6 rebounds. JDA Dijon moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Orleans. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket at the other side keeps the fifth position with eight games lost. JDA Dijon's next round opponent will be Chorale de Roanne (#10) on the road. ASVEL Lyon-Villeurbanne Basket will play against STB Le Havre (#14).
