Sixth ranked Niigata (11-14) beat at home 8th ranked Aishin Wings (8-17) by 15 points 72-57, which is the biggest margin this round on Saturday night. The hosts trailed by 1 point after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 72-57. The best player for the winners was swingman Sangi Kanade (169-86) who scored 22 points and 5 rebounds. Guard Seiko Kawakami (165-88) chipped in 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Niigata players scored in double figures.
