Seventh-ranked York (3-14) gave a tough game to third ranked Toronto (9-6). Toronto managed to secure only one-point victory 66-65. However their fans expected much easier game. York was ahead by 5 points after three quarters before a 21-15 charge of Toronto, which allowed them to win the game. They dominated down low during the game scoring 44 of its points in the paint compared to York's 20. They outrebounded York 39-25 including a 15-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a very good performance for forward Rachael Sider (178) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 21 points and 10 rebounds. Forward Amanda Lauzon (185) contributed with 15 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. Toronto's coach Michele Belanger allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Guard Nadia Qahwash (170) replied with 16 points and guard Kayla Pangos (165) added 17 points in the effort for York. Toronto have a solid four-game winning streak. They maintain third position with 9-6 record having four points less than leader Carleton, which they share with Dalhousie. York at the other side keeps the seventh place with 14 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
