Regular Season Round 22: Stal Ostrow - SKK Siedlce 80-74

Everything went according to plan in Ostrow Wlkp. where eighth ranked Stal Ostrow (12-10) beat 14th ranked SKK Siedlce (5-16) 80-74 on Sunday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts trailed by 2 points at the halftime before their 50-42 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Point guard Marcin Dymala (185-90) fired 17 points for the winners. Power forward Wojciech Zurawski (199-76) chipped in 10 points and 7 rebounds. Power forward Tomasz Deja (200-83) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field) and center Rafal Kulikowski (204-85, agency: Promotex) added 14 points and 9 rebounds respectively for lost side. Four SKK Siedlce players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Stal Ostrow moved-up to sixth place, which they share with P.Cukier SIDEn. SKK Siedlce lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the fourteenth position with 16 games lost. Stal Ostrow will meet higher ranked Sokol Lancut (#5) on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. SKK Siedlce will play against WIKANA Start (#9) in Lublin and hope to secure a win.
