Regular Season Round 32: Shinshu BW - Gunma 77-88

There was a minor upset in Nagano where 7th ranked Shinshu BW (14-16) was defeated by tenth ranked Gunma (6-24) 88-77 on Sunday. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of power forward Lewis Witcher (207-87, college: Virginia Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 15 points, 11 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Jermaine Dixon (191-87, college: Pittsburgh) who added 17 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists during the contest. Gunma's coach Ryan Blackwell used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Forward Jermaine Green (203-80, college: N.Texas) responded with 19 points and 8 rebounds and power forward Michael Fey (213-83, college: UCLA) scored 8 points and 16 rebounds. Five Gunma and four Shinshu BW players scored in double figures. Newly promoted Gunma maintains tenth position with 6-24 record. Loser Shinshu BW keeps the seventh place with 16 games lost. Gunma will face higher ranked Akita Happinets (#5) at home in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
