JBL top team - Aishin Sea Horses (23-5) managed to deliver another win on Sunday. This time they beat seventh ranked Mitsubishi Dolphins (8-20) in Nagoya 77-66. The former international power forward J.R. Sakuragi (206-76, college: UCLA) notched a double-double by scoring 14 points, 18 rebounds and 8 assists to lead the effort and Jamaican center Kevin Young (206-84, college: Missouri) supported him with 11 points and 6 rebounds. Four Aishin Sea Horses players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 18 points and 10 rebounds by American forward Ron Hale (203-77, college: Florida St.) did not help to save the game for Mitsubishi Dolphins. The former international swingman Shingo Kajiyama (190-76) added 10 points for the hosts. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Aishin Sea Horses maintains first position with 23-5 record. Mitsubishi Dolphins lost sixth consecutive game. They dropped to the sixth place with 20 games lost. They share the position with Tochigi Brex. Aishin Sea Horses will meet at home bottom-ranked Hokkaido L. (#8) in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Mitsubishi Dolphins will play against Toshiba Thunders in Kanagawa and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
