Very important is a road loss of second ranked Banco di Sard. (14-4) against fifth ranked Cantu (12-6) on Sunday night. Visiting Banco di Sard. was defeated by Cantu in Cantu 94-80. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Banco di Sard.. Banco di Sard. was ahead by 9 points at the halftime before a 57-34 second half run of Cantu. It was a good game for the former international Pietro Aradori (195-88) who led his team to a victory with 21 points and 4 assists (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!). Belgian point guard Jonathan Tabu (190-85) contributed with 15 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. Four Cantu players scored in double figures. American point guard Travis Diener (184-82, college: Marquette) replied with 21 points and 7 assists and his fellow American import guard Drake Diener (196-81, college: De Paul, agency: Priority Sports) added 14 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists in the effort for Banco di Sard.Cantu moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Acea Virtus RM. Banco di Sard. at the other side keeps the second position with four games lost. Cantu will play against Enel Brindisi (#8) on the road in the next round. Banco di Sard. will play against Umana Venezia (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
