There was a minor upset when 8th ranked Pall.Pozzuoli (3-10) was defeated on the road by tenth ranked Cagliari CUS (2-11) 78-60 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 44-25 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Erika Striulli (171-90) who helped to win the game recording 21 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and American forward Melissa Goodall (189-89, college: Toledo) who added 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Four Cagliari CUS players scored in double figures. At the losing side American swingman Darxia Morris (172-89, college: UCLA, agency: Merit Sports) responded with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds and her fellow American import guard Kalana Greene (178-87, college: Connecticut, agency: LBM Management) produced a double-double by scoring 13 points and 11 rebounds. Cagliari CUS maintains tenth position with 2-11 record. Loser Pall.Pozzuoli keeps the eighth place with ten games lost. They share the position with Orvieto. Cagliari CUS will meet higher ranked Taranto (#4) on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Pall.Pozzuoli will have a break next round.
