Fourth ranked Energy Invest blasted bottom-ranked STU (0-11) in Rustavi 112-70. STU is still unable to win any game. The game without a history. Energy Invest led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 74 of its points in the paint compared to STU's 38. Energy Invest forced 23 STU turnovers and outrebounded them 55-36 including a 35-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 38 assists comparing to just 21 passes made by STU's players. It was a good game for American forward Kyle Nelson (203-89, college: Augustana, IL, agency: N.E.T.) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 11 rebounds. Center Levan Khmelidze (208-90) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four Energy Invest players scored in double figures. Forward Zurab Machaladze (198-92) replied with 6 points, 12 rebounds and 4 blocks and guard Giorgi Kuchava (193-86) added 9 points in the effort for STU. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Energy Invest (9-2) keeps a position of league leader, which they share with MIA Academy and Olimpi. STU at the other side still closes the standings with 11 games lost. Energy Invest's next round opponent will be Samedicino-Academia (#10) in Tbilisi and are hoping to win another game.
