Superleague top team - MIA (9-2) had no problems winning another game on Monday. This time they crushed eighth ranked Batumi (3-8) 89-56. The game without a history. MIA led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 48 of its points in the paint compared to Batumi's 18. They outrebounded Batumi 46-33 including a 35-24 advantage in defensive rebounds. MIA looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when MIA made 8 blocks. The best player for the winners was American center Kirk Archibeque (205-84, college: Fort Lewis) who had a double-double by scoring 24 points and 16 rebounds. Center Ilia Londaridze (205-89) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Giorgi Nanitashvili (187-90) who recorded 20 points and Nika Ramishvili (179-94) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists respectively. Batumi's coach Mikhail Kobeshavidze gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. MIA maintains first position with 9-2 record, which they share with Rustavi and Olimpi. Batumi lost third consecutive game. They keep the eighth place with eight games lost. They share the position with Sokhumi. MIA's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Tbilisi to the arena Sokhumi.
