Ninth-ranked Sao Jose/Vinac (10-11) used its home court advantage to challenge leader Flamengo (21-0) on Tuesday. The visitors from Rio de Janeiro managed to secure only two-point victory 84-82. However their fans expected much easier game. The guests trailed by 3 points after three quarters before their 23-18 charge, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for the former international Marquinhos Vieira (207-84) who led his team to a victory with 20 points and 7 rebounds. The former international center Caio Silveira (211-87, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 15 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. Five Flamengo players scored in double figures. The former international power forward Jefferson Antonio (207-83) answered with 19 points and 8 rebounds and international swingman Dede Stefanelli (196-84) added 21 points in the effort for Sao Jose/Vinac.
