Very predictable result when fourth ranked Quimper UJAP (13-5) defeated at home 15th ranked Union Rennes (4-14) 70-63 on Tuesday. Union Rennes trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 18-14 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 63-70 at the end of the game. The best player for the winners was Spanish point guard Carlos Cherry (184-79, agency: Global Sports Plaza) who scored 22 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists. Nigerian forward Corey Raji (198-88, college: Boston Coll., agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) chipped in 18 points and 9 rebounds. Forward Omar Sall (195-80) produced 13 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists and Senegalese guard El Kabir Pene (190-84) added 15 points respectively for the guests. Union Rennes' coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Quimper UJAP moved-up to third place. Union Rennes lost seventh consecutive game.
