We cannot really consider it an upset in the game between close teams when one of their biggest challengers Sodertalje Kings (16-7) were defeated at home by fifth ranked Solna Vikings (17-9) 78-70. The guests were already 14 points ahead after 3 quarters before a 25-19 Sodertalje Kings' run in the last quarter cut the lead to 78-70 at the end of the game. It was a great shooting night for Solna Vikings especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 71.4 percentage. They brought some defensive toughness making 7 blocks. American guard Kelvin Lewis (195-88, college: Houston, agency: Pro One Sports) notched 17 points to lead the effort and the former international swingman Jim Nystrom (194-82, college: Georgia Tech) supported him with 16 points. Even 24 points by Bosnian forward Toni Bizaca (202-82) did not help to save the game for Sodertalje Kings. American center Kenneth Simms (203-86, college: Cumberland) added 19 points and 6 rebounds for the hosts. Solna Vikings moved-up to fourth place. Sodertalje Kings at the other side dropped to the fifth position with seven games lost. Solna Vikings' next round opponent will be Norrkoping Dolphins (#6) in Norrkoping. Sodertalje Kings will play on the road against KFUM Jamtland.
