Regular Season Round 16: Hapoel K/S - Maccabi K/G 95-81

Date: February 6, 2013
Very expected game when 13th ranked Maccabi K/G (3-13) was defeated on the road by ninth ranked Hapoel Kfar Saba (6-10) 95-81. Hapoel Kfar Saba players were unselfish on offense dishing 24 assists. 26 personal fouls committed by Maccabi K/G helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The winners were led by forward Adir Harush (187-90) who scored that evening 10 points, 5 rebounds and 9 assists and forward Eitan Rotemberg (197-91) supported him with 19 points (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four Hapoel Kfar Saba players scored in double figures. Even a double-double of 22 points and 14 rebounds by American forward Lenny Daniel (203-87, college: CS Northridge) did not help to save the game for Maccabi K/G. His fellow American import swingman Muhammad El Amin (196-87, college: Stony Brook, agency: Two Points) added 20 points, 7 rebounds and 8 assists for lost side. Hapoel Kfar Saba maintains ninth position with 6-10 record, which they share with Elitzur Ramla. Maccabi K/G lost seventh consecutive game. Newly promoted team keeps the thirteenth place with 13 games lost. Hapoel Kfar Saba's next round opponent will be higher ranked Hapoel Kazrin (#8) on the road and it may be quite challenging game. Maccabi K/G will play against Ironi Ramat Gan (#7).
