Regular Season Round 22: Eos - Visby 57-55

Date: February 9, 2013
A very interesting game took place in Lund. It ended with only two-point defeat on the road of 11th ranked Visby Ladies (6-15) to eleventh ranked IK Eos (6-15) 57-55 in the fight for the tenth place. It looked good early as Visby Ladies took an 12-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then IK Eos took control winning next two quarters and eventually winning the game that evening by 2 points. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Visby Ladies to just 6 points in third quarter. Danish point guard Anna Seilund (174-93) notched 13 points to lead the effort and forward Josefine Von Uthmann (180-91, college: St.Peter's) supported her with 6 points and 6 rebounds. IK Eos' coach allowed to play the deep bench players in such tough game. Even 23 points and 8 rebounds by American forward Earnesia Williams (185-87, college: Texas) did not help to save the game for Visby Ladies. Her fellow American import guard Michele Miller (180-85, college: Xavier) added 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for lost side. IK Eos moved-up to tenth place, which they share with Visby. IK Eos' next round opponent will be higher ranked Solna Vikings (#4) at home and they do not belong to the favorites in that game.
