A1 top team - Gospic (14-1) managed to deliver another win. This time they beat sixth ranked Tresnjevka (6-9) 63-54. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Tresnjevka won fourth quarter 13-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Gospic forced 20 Tresnjevka turnovers. It was a great evening for guard Monika Bosilj (178-85, college: FIU) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. International Emanuela Salopek (178-87) helped adding 12 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 7 steals. The best for the losing side was Bosnian power forward Ivana Jovanovic (185-85) with 21 points and Anita Kelava (185-97) scored 7 points and 15 rebounds. Gospic have an impressive series of thirteen victories in a row. Defending champion maintains first place with 14-1 record, which they share with Novi Zagreb. Tresnjevka lost fourth consecutive game. Newly promoted team dropped to the seventh position with nine games lost. Gospic will play against Studenac Omis (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Tresnjevka will play against the league's second-placed Lupa Promotion in Novi Zagreb and hopes to get back on the winning track.
