Regular Season Round 33: Shimane SM - Takamatsu FA 76-69

There was no surprise when 7th ranked Takamatsu FA (11-19) was defeated on the road by third ranked Shimane Magic (20-11) 76-69. Shimane Magic dominated down low during the game scoring 52 of its points in the paint compared to Takamatsu FA's 32. American forward Michael Parker (202-81, college: Evergreen St.) nailed 23 points and 9 rebounds for the winning side and point guard Edward Yamamoto (173-86) accounted for 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Five Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. American swingman Dexter Lyons (198-81, college: Cent.Florida, agency: I.D.S. Law) came up with 12 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists and 5 steals and the other American import power forward Robert Johnson (203-81, college: Oregon) added 4 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Takamatsu FA in the defeat. Takamatsu FA's coach Kenzo Maeda tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Shimane Magic maintains third place with 20-11 record having just three points less than leader Okinawa GK, which they share with Toyama Grouses. Takamatsu FA at the other side keeps the seventh position with 19 games lost. Shimane Magic's next round opponent will be again Takamatsu FA (#7) at home.
