Regular Season Round 33: Saitama Bron. - Shinshu BW 97-98

Eleventh-ranked Saitama Broncos (3-26) made lots of trouble for seventh ranked Shinshu BW (15-16). The visitors from Nagano managed to secure only one-point victory 98-97. However their fans expected much easier game. It looked good early as Saitama Broncos took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Shinshu BW had a 32-22 second period charge getting the lead and Saitama Broncos were not able to take back game control losing it eventually 97-98. Shinshu BW players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. 24 personal fouls committed by Saitama Broncos helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. American power forward Edward Morris (205-84, college: Pittsburg St.) nailed a double-double by scoring 31 points and 12 rebounds for the winning side and his fellow American import forward Jermaine Green (203-80, college: N.Texas) accounted for 24 points. American swingman John Humphrey (188-80, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: Court Side) came up with 26 points and 7 rebounds and guard Yuki Kitamuki (184-85) added 30 points and 5 steals respectively for Saitama Broncos in the defeat. Four Saitama Broncos players scored in double figures. Saitama Broncos' coach tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Shinshu BW maintains seventh place with 15-16 record. Saitama Broncos lost seventh consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 26 games lost. Shinshu BW will have a break next round. Saitama Broncos will play again at home against Shinshu BW (#7) in Nagano.
