Regular Season Round 32: McGill - UQAM 83-68

Date: February 9, 2013
Not a big story in a game in Montreal, QC where 4th ranked Citadines (4-9) were defeated by second ranked Redmen (9-4) 83-68 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Redmen. Citadines was better in third quarter 24-15. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Citadines 30-18 including 19 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Nathan Joyal (198) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and forward Vincent Dufort (195) who added 16 points and 6 rebounds during the contest. Four Redmen players scored in double figures. Forward Alexandre Bernard (196) responded with 24 points and 6 rebounds and guard Richard Kwaku Addai (183-88) scored 17 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Redmen have a solid three-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Bishop's. Loser Citadines keep the fourth place with nine games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
