Regular Season Round 27: Svit - B.Bystrica 82-69

Bottom-ranked Svit managed to get a sixth victory, breaking the series of two consecutive loses. This time they won against seventh-ranked SKP Banska Bystrica 82-69. The game was mostly controlled by Svit. SKP Banska Bystrica was better in fourth quarter 18-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Svit forced 23 SKP Banska Bystrica turnovers. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a great evening for American guard Ravone George (193-83, college: Alabama) who led his team to a victory scoring 19 points, 9 assists and 4 steals. His fellow American import swingman Sean Smith (201-85, college: N.Illinois) helped adding 20 points and 4 assists. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Svit maintains ninth place with 6-19 record. SKP Banska Bystrica at the other side keeps the seventh position with 14 games lost. Svit will play against higher ranked Prievidza (#5) on the road in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. SKP Banska Bystrica will play against Inter Bratislava and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
