Regular Season Round 21: Sorgues - Blois 89-63

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both ninth ranked Sorgues and 8th ranked Blois had identical 9-8 record. This time Sorgues used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from Blois 89-63. It looked good early as Blois took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Sorgues had a 32-11 second period charge getting the lead and Blois was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 63-89. 26 personal fouls committed by Blois helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Forward Cedric Mansare (195-85) nailed a double-double by scoring 12 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists for the winning side and center Xavier Pasut (200-84) accounted for 17 points and 6 rebounds. American forward Daviin Davis (193-85, college: Weber St.) came up with 12 points and 8 rebounds and center Jonathan Tornato (210-89) added 10 points and 7 rebounds respectively for Blois in the defeat. Five Sorgues and four Blois players scored in double figures. Blois' coach Hugues Occansey already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. The victory was the third consecutive win for Sorgues. They moved-up to seventh place. Blois at the other side dropped to the tenth position with nine games lost. Sorgues' next round opponent will be Angers BC 49 (#12) on the road which should be theoretically another easy game. Blois will play against Chartres and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
