Very predictable result when fourth ranked Chalon/Saor (12-6) won against at home bottom-ranked Boulazac Basket (5-14) 89-75 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Chalon/Saor. Boulazac Basket was better in third quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Chalon/Saor made 19-of-24 free shots (79.2 percent) during the game. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Quite impressive performance for American swingman Blake Schilb (200-83, college: Loyola, IL, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices) who helped to win the game recording 25 points and 9 assists. Jordan Aboudou (198-91) contributed with 17 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Darryl Monroe (202-86, college: George Mason, agency: SportsTalent) answered with 16 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists and the other American import guard Anthony Roberson (189-83, college: Florida) added 23 points in the effort for Boulazac Basket. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Chalon/Saor. Defending champion moved-up to third place. Newly promoted Boulazac Basket stay at the bottom position with 14 games lost. Chalon/Saor will face league's second-placed Strasbourg IG on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Boulazac Basket will play against Cholet (#12).
