Regular Season Round 21: Vichy - Cognac 85-71

Leader JA Vichy delivered the fifteenth win on Saturday night. This time they beat 5th ranked Cognac (12-6) 85-71. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when JA Vichy's pressure prevailed and they won that period 19-12 extending their advantage to 14 points. The best player for the winners was American power forward Justin Reynolds (204-88, college: Texas A&M-CC) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds. point guard Benjamin Thomas (181-82) chipped in 23 points and 7 assists. JA Vichy's coach Fabien Romeyer used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the other side the best for losing team was point guard Vincent Mouillard (187-87) who recorded 15 points and 4 assists and Sadio Doucoure (195-92) added 10 points and 6 rebounds respectively. JA Vichy (15-4) have an impressive series of eleven victories in a row. They maintain first place. Cognac at the other side keeps the fifth position with six games lost. JA Vichy are looking forward to face Saint Chamond (#13) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Cognac will play against Rueil (#8) and is hoping to prove to their supporters that this time they can win.
