Rather predictable result when third ranked Shimane Magic (21-11) won against at home 7th ranked Takamatsu FA (11-20) 78-69 on Sunday. Shimane Magic dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Takamatsu FA's 38. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Shimane Magic made 8 blocks. Quite impressive performance for point guard Kouki Yamabuchi (183-84) who helped to win the game recording 18 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. American Benjamin Puckett (205-83, college: Clayton St., agency: I.D.S. Law) contributed with 20 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Shimane Magic players scored in double figures. American power forward Robert Johnson (203-81, college: Oregon) replied with 4 points, 12 rebounds and 4 assists and his fellow American import forward Brandon Penn (203-90, college: Rider, agency: I.D.S. Law) added 13 points in the effort for Takamatsu FA. Takamatsu FA's coach Kenzo Maeda let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Shimane Magic moved-up to second place, which they share with Toyama Grouses. Takamatsu FA lost third consecutive game. They keep the seventh position with 20 games lost.
