There was an upset when higher ranked Shinshu BW (15-17) lost on the road to eleventh ranked Saitama Broncos (4-26) 100-92 on Sunday. Saitama Broncos looked well-organized offensively handing out 23 assists. Shinshu BW was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Quite impressive performance for American swingman John Humphrey (188-80, college: Middle Tenn.St., agency: Court Side) who helped to win the game recording 29 points and 6 rebounds. Forward Yuki Nobihura (190-87) contributed with 21 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Guard Takanori Goya (190-83) replied with 25 points and 8 assists and American forward Jermaine Green (203-80, college: N.Texas) added 23 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Shinshu BW. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Shinshu BW's coach Takatoshi Ishibashi let to play ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. Saitama Broncos maintains eleventh position with 4-26 record. Loser Shinshu BW keeps the seventh place with 17 games lost. Saitama Broncos will face higher ranked Gunma (#10) at home in the next round and it may be quite challenging game.
