No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Taranto (10-4) crushed at home 10th ranked Cagliari CUS (2-12) 86-60. The game without a history. Taranto led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 70 of its points in the paint compared to Cagliari CUS's 38. Taranto forced 20 Cagliari CUS turnovers and outrebounded them 24-9 including a 19-8 advantage in defensive rebounds. French power forward Nicole Antibe (187-74) stepped up and scored 26 points (on 11-of-12 shooting from the field) for the winners and American forward Megan Mahoney (183-83, college: Kansas St., agency: LBM Management) chipped in 17 points and 8 rebounds. Four Taranto players scored in double figures. Taranto's coach Roberto Ricchini felt very confident using 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games.
