An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Grodno. Second ranked Victoria-UOR faced 4th placed BrGU COR Victoria. Host Victoria-UOR (5-9) smashed guests from Brest (0-14) 103-59. The game without a history. Victoria-UOR led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 66 of its points in the paint compared to BrGU COR Victoria's 34 and made 22-of-28 free shots (78.6 percent) during the game. Victoria-UOR forced 36 BrGU COR Victoria turnovers and outrebounded them 52-40 including a 33-22 advantage in defensive rebounds. Victoria-UOR looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by BrGU COR Victoria's players. BrGU COR Victoria was plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was forward Viyaleta Kiuliak (181-96) who had a double-double by scoring 17 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Hanna Tsarevich (178-95) chipped in a double-double by scoring 14 points, 6 rebounds, 10 assists and 4 steals. Four Victoria-UOR players scored in double figures. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Veranika Valeuskaya (170-91) who recorded 13 points and 6 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line) and guard Ekaterina Shestilovskaya (180-93) added 13 points and 7 rebounds respectively. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. Victoria-UOR maintains second place in League with 5-9 record behind leader Berezina. Loser BrGU COR Victoria still closes the standings with 14 games lost. Victoria-UOR will face Junior U-16 (#3) in Minsk in the next round, which may be the game of the day.
