Important game to mention about took place in Jerusalem. Fifth ranked Hapoel Jerusalem (9-7) saved a 3-point victory at home edging 6th ranked Bnei Hasharon (7-9) 70-67 on Monday evening. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Bnei Hasharon won third quarter 13-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international point guard Meir Tapiro (192-75, agency: Avi Zilberman) who helped to win the game recording 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). International Elishay Kadir (202-87, agency: Avi Zilberman) contributed with 15 points and 8 rebounds (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) for the winners. American forward Jumaine Jones (203-79, college: Georgia) replied with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 12 rebounds and the former international forward Ben Rice (195-90, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Bnei Hasharon. Hapoel Jerusalem moved-up to third place, which they share with Netanya and Maccabi Haifa. Bnei Hasharon at the other side keeps the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with 3 other teams. Hapoel Jerusalem will play against Hapoel Holon (#10) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Bnei Hasharon will play against Ironi Ashkelon (#11) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
