Regular Season Round 16: Fjolnir - Keflavik 101-113

Very predictable result in Reykjavik where fourth ranked Keflavik (11-5) defeated 11th ranked Fjolnir (4-12) 113-101. The game was mostly controlled by Keflavik. Fjolnir was better in fourth quarter 36-35. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. Keflavik outrebounded Fjolnir 44-31 including 19 on the offensive glass. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a very good performance for American forward Billy Baptist (196-87, college: Quincy) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 14 rebounds. The other American import forward Michael Craion (195-89, college: ORU) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 18 rebounds for the winners. American Christopher Smith (204-82, college: St.Edward's, agency: R.H.Consultancy) replied with a double-double by scoring 35 points (!!!), 10 rebounds and 4 assists and guard Arnthor Gudmundsson (187-91) added 21 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Fjolnir. Four Keflavik and five Fjolnir players scored in double figures. Keflavik have an impressive six-game winning streak. They moved-up to third place, which they share with Thor Thorl. Fjolnir lost fifth consecutive game. They keep the eleventh position with 12 games lost. Keflavik's next round opponent will be Tindastoll (#10) in Sauoarkrokur and are hoping to win another game. Fjolnir will play on the road against the league's second-placed Snaefell in Stykkisholmur.
