Chanson V-M (#4) was upset in Kariya by seventh ranked Denso Iris 72-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Chanson V-M. The game was mostly controlled by Denso Iris. Chanson V-M was better in third quarter 14-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Denso Iris won last quarter 19-9. It was a great shooting night for Denso Iris especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 60.0 percentage. International forward Arisa Fujiwara (175-87) notched a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds to lead the effort and international guard Kumiko Oba (169-88) supported her with 21 points. Even 19 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by swingman Key Miho (176-85) did not help to save the game for Chanson V-M. The former international swingman Saori Fujiyoshi (178-87) added 10 points and 6 rebounds. Denso Iris (11-17) moved-up to sixth place, which they share with Niigata. Chanson V-M at the other side keeps the fourth position with eight games lost. Denso Iris will play against Aishin Wings (#8) in Anjo in the next round. Chanson V-M will play on the road against Toyota A. (#3) in Nagoya and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
