The game between closely ranked teams ended with fourth ranked Tigers' (9-8) home victory over 5th ranked X-Men (7-9) 88-83 on Tuesday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But X-Men won fourth quarter 22-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Guard Jumol Mullings (185) stepped up and scored 19 points and 7 assists for the winners and Cameroonian forward William Yengue (193) chipped in 18 points, 8 rebounds and 4 blocks. Tigers' coach John Campbell used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. The best for the losing side was guard Will Donkoh (185) with 23 points and 8 rebounds and forward Jeremy Dunn (196) scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Tigers have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain fourth place with 9-8 record. Loser X-Men keeps the fifth position with nine games lost. Tigers' supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Halifax, NS to the arena Huskies.
