It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of JL Bourg. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But JL Bourg won fourth quarter 26-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was American forward Darnell Wilson (198-85, college: Canisius, agency: Court Side) who scored 22 points and 7 rebounds. Nigerien center Amadou Aboubakar Zaki (215-88) chipped in 10 points and 8 rebounds. Gambian forward Moses Sonko (197-83, college: Co.Carolina, agency: Two Points) produced a double-double by scoring 12 points and 10 rebounds and American power forward David Monds (205-83, college: Oklahoma St.) added 15 points respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. JL Bourg's coach rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Le Portel moved-up to third place, which they share with Antibes and Chalons-Reims. Loser JL Bourg dropped to the eighth position with ten games lost. Le Portel will meet at home Charleville-Mezieres (#17) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. JL Bourg will play against the league's leader Pau-Lacq-Orthez (#1) and hope to secure a win.
