The game between closely ranked teams ended with 6th ranked Gryphons' (5-15) home loss to fifth ranked Golden Hawks (7-13) 82-96 on Wednesday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when Golden Hawks's pressure prevailed and they won that period 27-20 extending their advantage to 14 points. Guard Maxwell Allin (193) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 34 points (!!!) and 10 rebounds for the winners and guard William Coulthard (188) chipped in 27 points. The best for the losing side was forward Daniel McCarthy (190) with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 11 rebounds and guard Zachary Angus (185) scored 22 points. Five Gryphons players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Golden Hawks maintains fifth place with 7-13 record. Gryphons lost eighth consecutive game. They keep the sixth position with 15 games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
